RUE

Hey, I'm Rue. My furever mom is Stacey the writer who wrote this whole show about me! I'm a mutt--a Chihuahua-mix. I was rescued from a kill shelter in West Virginia by an Awesome Brooklyn animal rescue that brought me north to a furever home. My favorite activities include snacking, napping, watching Disney movies and the Golden Girls.

Cassie ("Squish")

Hello! My name's Cassie. I'm one of the real-life dogs that the character Squish is based on in Rescue Rue​-- and my nickname is Squish! My furever mom is Bree, a costume designer. When she still lived in Portland she saw me in a newspaper and knew it was meant to be. I was already an older dog when she saved me from a rescue out there called the Pixie Project, and then brought me back east when she moved to NY!

PICKLE

Hey, I'm Pickle! My furever dad is Brendan who plays Artemis. I'm a pug in case you couldn't tell from my dashing good looks. My favorite TV Show is Doctor Who.

MAX & AL

Hi there! I'm Max the mutt and pictured with me is my best friend Al the tabby!  Our furever dad is Jason who plays Apollo. I'm 6 and Al is 1-- I've known him since he was just a kitten. I'm a rescue from Montreal while Al is from the good ol' ASPCA in NYC. Our favorite pastimes include playing, snuggling, and watching Arrested Development . (Al also loves giving me baths with his tongue... I let him because he's cute.)

IMOGEN LUMI

Hi hi, my name's Imogen Lumi! My furever mom is Lisa who plays Rue. I'm a rescue kitty from NYC. Did you know Lumi means "light" in Finnish? My favorite pastime includes napping, playtime, and watching House of Cards .

Hiya! My name is Jeff. My furever dad is Andy the puppet designer. I'm a Shiba Inu ("Brushwood Dog" in Japanese). I was rescued from a kill shelter by a Shiba Inu rescue organization. My favorite pastimes include eating, sleeping, and watching Mad Men.

JACK & BEAN

Helloo! We're Jack and Bean! Jack's the King Charles Cavalier, and Bean's the Boston Terrier. We're furever friends who live with Nate who plays Prissy. Nate and his girlfriend Jen wanted to adopt one dog but ended up adopting both of us because  were already bonded at a few months old! Our hobbies are making messes, blaming each other, and watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.

BEA LILLIE & SPENSER

My name is Beatrice Lillie and I'm a old bundle of love that's part poodle, part terrier, and a few other things thrown in for good measure. My Furever Friend is Jen, who plays Rue's best friend Squish! I'm a rescue from Alabama, and my favorite snacks are glucosamine/chondroitin duck breast treats. I writes little songs when I go on walks--one of my best composing efforts is 'Prancing Through The Grass', which Jennifer will gladly sing for you if you ask her kindly. I also have a brother, Spenser, a long-haired orange tabby who's also an Alabama rescue, and I love him… even if is he is a cat and prone to pouncing on me!
